MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) – On the same night the city of Miami Gardens was responding to a rash of recent shootings in the area, an 11-year-old was transported to the hospital after being shot.
The 11-year-old, according to Miami Gardens Police, was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
Police are looking for a white Dodge Neon that was seen driving up and down on Northwest 17th Avenue and 193rd Street.
Police believe suspect got out of car and fired shots into a home.
A motive on the shooting remains unknown.
